New categories & expanded categories***
The Back Porch
exhibit is open to Pasco County residents age 18 and over. All
entered items must have been completed since the 2007 Pasco County
Fair, must be clean, and must be the handiwork of the exhibitor.
Complete name
and address, including zip code and phone number should be on
the back of each item and on the bottom of canning jars. Wall
hangings and pictures should be mounted or wired for hanging.
You may enter
as many items under each section as you wish. No entry fee is
required.
JUDGING:
All items will be judged using the Danish system. Each item will
be given the blue, red or white ribbon it deserves. GRAND CHAMPION
ROSETTES will be awarded for the superior item in each sub-section
according to the discretion of the judges. There must
be three (3) persons entering items in each sub-section for a
GRAND CHAMPION ROSETTE to be awarded. A RESERVE GRAND CHAMPION
will be awarded if a tie should occur and the items are deemed
by the judges to be of superior quality. An AWARD OF EXCELLENCE
ROSETTE will be awarded to any item that has been judged to be
of exceptional quality. A “People’s Choice” award will be given
on Sunday, Feb. 24, to the exhibitor who has received the most
votes. This award is voted on during the week by the visitors
to the exhibit.
The BACK
PORCH committee has the authority to make changes in the Rules
and Regulations when necessary. The PASCO COUNTY FAIR ASSOCIATION
does not assume responsibility for damage or loss of items exhibited,
although reasonable care will be exercised to safeguard items
for display.
